The Shawshank Redemption: Andy Dufresne and the beauty of music..

Sesi selepas terawih di kedai kopi semalam, ada sorang member bersembang pasal rating Godfather. Katanya ada satu list tu Godfather kalah kepada satu movie, The Shawshank Redemption. Dia tanya, "Hang pernah tengok tak Shawshank Redemption?" Aku cakap, "Peh movie tu memang terbaik.."

Bagi aku, watak banduan Andy Dufresne (lakonan Tim Robbins) memang legend. Kalah Clint Eastwood dalam Escape from Alcatraz. Apa kena mengena kisah banduan dengan muzik? Andy Dufresne selain wataknya yang legend dalam cerita ni, dia juga seorang yang mempunyai semangat yang luar biasa terhadap muzik.

Aku suka pendapat Andy pasal muzik. Ini dialog dia..

Floyd: Was it worth two weeks in the hole?

Andy: Easiest time I ever did.

Heywood: Bullshit. No such thing as easy time in the hole. A week seems like a year.

Andy: I had Mr. Mozart to keep me company. It was in here (points and taps his head) and in here (gestures over his heart). That's the beauty of music. They can't get that from you. Haven't you ever felt that way about music?

Red: I played a mean harmonica as a younger man. Lost interest in it though. Didn't make much sense in here.

Andy: Here's where it makes the most sense. You need it so you don't forget.

Red: Forget?

Andy: Forget that there are places in this world that aren't made out of stone. That there's something inside that they can't get to, that they can't touch. That's yours.

Red: What're you talking about?

Andy: Hope..

Metallica Live in Malaysia?

Mungkin aku agak terlambat pasal berita ni sebab aku pun dah lama tak online. Cerita dia macam ni, ada brader yang baiki gitar adik aku cakap Metallica nak datang Malaysia bulan 12 ni. Katanya tiket paling murah RM 500. Bila aku tanya lagi detail dia pun tak berapa nak tau sangat sebab dia pun dengar orang cerita..

Member aku pulak cakap dia dengar Metallica punya show 2hb Disember tapi dia rasa tak logik sebab 5hb Metallica ada konsert anniversary kat San Francisco. Blogger lain macam mana? Ada yang boleh mengesahkan berita ni atau berita ini hanya khabar angin yang digembar-gemburkan oleh mereka yang tak dapat tengok Maiden aritu.. erk!
