Black Sabbath.. Brad Wilk?

Semalam adik aku mesej tanya, "Dah dengar belum album Black Sabbath?"

Black Sabbath

Aku pernah bagitau abang Din (peminat tegar Black Sabbath) berkenaan masalah ni.

Brad Wilk

Apa kata anda? Aku dengar boleh tahan..

  1. Aku rasa pemilihan Brad Wilk sebagai drummer gantian adalah tepat memandangkan dia ni seorang yg versatile ditambah lagi muzik RATM masih mengekalkan elemen old school rock berbanding band2 rapcore yg lain. Btw, Rick Rubin still ok for me walaupun byk org skrg ni x berapa suka cara dia berkerja (boleh rujuk interview Slipknot psl Rick berkenaan album Subliminal Verses mereka yg dahulu)

  4. Kalu ada Ozzy aku memang payah nak hadham...Bagi aku Ozzy ni tarikan dia lebih pada kelakuan merapu dia je berbanding suara...

  5. Iommi on working with producer Rick Rubin on new Black Sabbath album 13:

“I didn’t quite know what to make of Rick at first. His whole idea was, ‘Write the song. Call me when you think it’s ready.’ So I would. Actually, I’d email him, because I couldn’t phone him – nobody phones him. So I’d email him: ‘Do you want to come down tonight?’ And he’d pop in, have a listen, go, ‘Yeah, I like that,’ or, ‘I don’t like it.’ We wanted him to be more involved but he was this elusive guy that we never really saw. But when we started recording, he was there all the time, lying on the bed with the microphone. Blimey, what a strange guy!”

Butler on having Rage Against The Machine's Brad Wilk play on the new Black Sabbath album:

"That was [producer] Rick Rubin's idea, 'cause he wanted to have… He didn't want a typical heavy metal drummer on the album, 'cause it's not really a heavy metal album; it's more of a rock… heavy rock. And Rick Rubin suggested having Brad, 'cause he's more in the vein of [original Black Sabbath drummer] Bill Ward. So we jammed with him and he sounded great with the stuff, so we went with that … It's sort of back to the way we used to be in the '70s; that's his feel — sort of a jazzy, bluesy feel to him, and that's the way the music is now. It was great working with him."

  6. Aku buleh terima Brad Wilk jadi drummer mereka sebab sound dia tak lari jaiuh dari drummer asal. Tak banyak tong digunakan kedua-duanya sewaktu zaman bersama band masing-masing.
